What are the benefits of poly-v belts

A poly-v belt is a type of power transmission belt that is commonly used in various industrial and mechanical applications. It is a belt that has multiple longitudinal ribs or teeth on the inside surface, which correspond to grooves in the pulley that it drives. These teeth or ribs make contact with the grooves of the pulley, providing a positive engagement between the belt and the pulley.
Poly-v belts are typically made of a high-strength, reinforced rubber compound that is resistant to wear, heat, and chemical degradation. They are available in various lengths and widths to suit different applications and can be used in both synchronous and non-synchronous applications.
One of the key benefits of poly-v belts is their high power transmission capacity. The multiple ribs on the belt provide a larger surface area for contact with the pulley, which allows for higher torque transmission and increased power output. Additionally, the positive engagement between the belt and the pulley helps to eliminate slippage, which can reduce efficiency and cause wear and tear on the belt and pulley.
Poly-v belts are also known for their quiet and smooth operation. The design of the belt and pulley system helps to reduce noise and vibration, making them ideal for use in applications where noise reduction is important.
When selecting a poly-v belt, it is important to consider factors such as the size and shape of the pulley, the load requirements, and the operating conditions. It is also important to choose a belt that is compatible with the system and provides the required power transmission capacity.

Ribbed Belt

This V-Ribbed Belts combines the high transmission of V-belt and  the flexibility of  flat belt. It contributes to system compactness, multi-axis layout, and small pulley diameter.
1. The transmission power is large, and the transmission power of the ordinary V-belt is 30% higher than that of the ordinary V-belt when the space is the same.
2. The drive system has a compact structure and can reduce costs. Under the same transmission power, the space of the transmission device is 25% smaller than that of the ordinary V-belt.
3. The belt body is thin and flexible, suitable for transmission with small diameter of pulley, and also suitable for high-speed transmission.
